Jarrow Formulas Glucosamine HCl is completely vegetarian/vegan and made in the USA by microbiological fermentation. Glucosamine is an aminosaccharide synthesized from glucose and the amino acid L-glutamine. HCl (hydrochloric acid) stabilizes the glucosamine in this product. Glucosamine is a component of joint and intestinal tissue and is involved in the production of synovial fluid, which lubricates the joints. Glucosamine is converted to N-acetyl-glucosamine in the intestines by the goblet cells. Glucosamine HCl is salt free. Jarrow Formulas Glucosamine HCl is Joint Sustain nutrition, providing a sodium free form of glucosamine. For best results, use with Jarrow Formulas JarroSil, the biologically Activated Silicon.
